🌼 We're back, baby. Happy 2024!

Little dance classes, little hike, little league.

Hey, fresh mamas,

Hope this message finds you well! I’ve never been a fan of resolutions that start immediately on January 1. You can’t ask me to socialize, travel, and eat cookies all of December and then only give me six days to get my mind right, it’s just not gonna happen.

So I embrace my late, resolution-free ramp up into the year. Don’t get me wrong, there are other things to do in place of resolutions like:

  • a low-pressure 2024 Bingo Card: fill each square with something you want to do or something out of the ordinary, and try to get a bingo throughout the year.

  • Set up a system that helps you fulfill a longer-term goal.

  • Word of the Year, or my preferred Word of the Month.

  • In’s and Out’s. List what is in and what is out for you this year.

My word of the month is cadence. I’m trying to find and build a new cadence this year that works for my family, keeps my kitchen clean, the grown-ups less-stressed and my toddler well-rested. What are things that are important to me that need to enter a regular cadence?

Whatever you choose, I encourage us all to remember: you don’t need to be fixed. You are doing great.
