🌼 We're finally gonna have a party, Mama
Plus: Holiday Markets, Mushrooms, Sewing Machines and more
Hey, holiday Mamas,
I know it might be too soon for this, so forgive me.
But we need to talk: about Santa.
No worries. We’re all good. I like him. But you know who doesn’t get enough credit? Mrs. Claus.
Because, let’s be real: behind many celebrated, successful, fatherly, community leader types, there is a quietly successful nurturing spouse who is likely their project manager, event planner, personal assistant, primary parent, housekeeper, and family cook. (And with Santa as festive and rosy-cheeked as he is, you know he’s eatin’ good in the neighborhood.)
So we are gonna celebrate an oft-overlooked Mama: Mrs. Claus! My guess is she is a dang good baker, likes to throw a party and can sling a joke as fast as any of ‘em.
Save the date (the Saturday after Thanksgiving), because the Bastrop County Mama Network is hosting our very first event: Meet Mrs. Claus! RSVP to boost that algorithm, if you please.
In cahoots with Nik Shehu Property Group and Sunshine Sister Coffee, we are hosting a free hot cocoa and coffee bar, meet-and-greet + professional photos with Mrs. Claus, a letters-to-Santa writing station, some silly elves, and a couch to kick back from all the downtown shopping you might be doing.
We are excited to meet Mrs. Claus, but also, we are excited to meet you! Come say hi and I’ll give you a sticker, and a hug if you’re into it.
